I wont say the company but it is a verrrrry large company world wide and respected and it is just a small emblem in the upper left corner of the shirt. I have an interview tomorrow at a policy/research institute (i.e. not a corporate job)...what to wear? I have two skirt suits. One is a heavy fabric, dark blue, pleat on bottom, with a white shell. I wore this on my last interview and think that the top is a little loose fitting, and bit somber, and 'old' (I'm in my mid-twenties). It was so BLAH that I bought this scarf on the way to spruce it up a bit. The other one is a lighter fabric. It's a micro-plaid (black and white with an accent of yellow lines), and the overall effect comes off as gray. Pleat on bottom, black shell. Now, I know that you're supposed to wear a dark suit for corporate interviews, but this is an academia job. I think that the micro-plaid is just more comfortable in general, and doesn't make me feel like a stuffy linebacker...thoughts? For either outfit, I will be wearing black strap pumps.

The only people I see who wear business casual/professional dress on a constant basis is the director of the lab and the IT manager. The project managers and supervisors wear business casual when a client comes in or when they feel like dressing up. Mostly they wear jeans to work. Our corporate office and corporate staff is located in another state so corporate people only come in and they announce when they come in. How important is it for me to wear business casual? Why did the New Orleans Saints wear white? Not that it should be a big surprise and they have worn white at home before (yet, most teams wear dark at home,) but most of the time they wear black.
