Is it okay to wear a corporate branded work shirt to court?

My roomate told me that it would be a good idea to wear my corporate branded work shirt to court tomorrow. I wont say the company but it is a verrrrry large company world wide and respected and it is just a small emblem in the upper left corner of the shirt. I am 22 years old and he said that infront of the judge it will look very proffesional and respectable that I work for a large company and am not a backyard 22 year old thug. Thanks

  1. lol, my sons father wore his uniform to child support court last week. He asked the judge to lower his payments, the judge raised the amount instead.
  2. No. If you did something wrong, own up to it. Don't depend on others to bail you out. No matter what, if you aren't representing your company in a court case, don't wear their logo. I can assure you , they won't appreciate it.
  3. no........... you should give respect to Judge not Judge to you. Judge gives justice not respect for your shirt. Judge looks at everyone with same importance , it does not see whether your from big or small company
  4. Don't worry, it is easy enough for the judge to find out what you do for a living. I suggest you be respectful, and wear a suit if you want the judge to look at you favorably.
  5. If you are not defending the company, then leave the work shirt at home. The company could get upset at you for bringing their logo into your own private trial. If you lose, and it gets flashed all over the news... you in your work shirt coming out of the courthouse... you may be fired and sued.
  6. Wear a suit.
  7. No, I doubt that it would help and may may you look pompous! The judge over sees alot of that stuff and sticks to the facts. Look nice, where a suit to show respect for the court!
  8. If it were me, I would not. Just because you wear the shirt, the judge wouldn't know that you work for that company.
